Dáil Éireann - Volume 287 - 27 January, 1976 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Signs. Mr. Molloy Mr. Molloy 42. Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for Local Government if he intends to issue new regulations governing the erection of road signs; and if he will make a statement in the matter. Mr. Tully Mr. Tully Mr. Tully: I am considering what changes in the present system of informative road signs would be warranted in the future in the light of recommendations I have received and also having regard to international developments in this field. I would point out once again that it is the function of the local authorities to arrange for the proper maintenance of existing signs, the replacement of broken or damaged signs and the provision of such additional signs as they may find necessary.
