Mr. Lemass asked the Minister for Lands if, in view of the fact that it requires ten countries to ratify the convention on international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora, Ireland will sign this convention. Fitzpatrick (Cavan): As I advised the Deputy in reply to previous questions, Dáil Debates Volume 279, No. 9, column 1495, Volume 280, No. 3, column 494, Ireland signed this convention on 1st November, 1974, subject to ratification after the Wildlife Bill, 1975, becomes law.
