347. Mr. Meaney asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange to have unemployment benefit paid to a person in County Cork (details supplied).

Minister for Social Welfare (Mr. Corish): It was decided by a deciding officer that the person concerned was not entitled to unemployment benefit on a claim made on 16th September, 1975 as he did not satisfy the contribution conditions for the receipt of benefit. His appeal against this decision is being submitted to an appeals officer for consideration. He is at present receiving unemployment assistance.
