Mr. Wilson asked the Minister for Education the amounts of money his Department has allocated to Telefís Scoile in the years 1973-74, 1974-75 and 1975-76. Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke: The amounts of money allocated to Telefís Scoile for the school years 1973-74, 1974-75 and 1975-76 are £106,314, £118,790 and £60,000. Mr. Wilson Mr. Wilson 1534 Mr. Wilson: Is it true that, because the money was not available from his Department, programmes had to be [1534] postponed during this academic year 1975-1976? Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke: No. The cutback in expenditure on Telefís Scoile for 1975-1976 is not related solely to budgetary conditions. Mr. Wilson Mr. Wilson Mr. Wilson: Is it a fact that no new programmes have been made for the year 1975-1976? Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke: In reply to the Deputy, the whole matter is being investigated. Mr. Wilson Mr. Wilson Mr. Wilson: Is it a fact that what we are getting now are re-runs and no new programmes have been made for 1975-1976 due to lack of finance? Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke: That was not part of the question. Mr. Colley Mr. Colley Mr. Colley: Does the Minister not know? Mr. Wilson Mr. Wilson Mr. Wilson: Is it true that no Telefís Scoile programme was shown before mid-October? Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke Mr. Richard Burke: That is a specific question and if the Deputy tables it I will answer it. Dr. Byrne Dr. Byrne Dr. Byrne: Can the Deputy not relate his supplementary questions to the question on the Order Paper and to the reply given by the Minister?
