Ceiseanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fish Storage Facilities.

27. Mr. J. O'Leary asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the cost of providing cold storage facilities for fish on the pier at Castletownbere, [1285] County Cork; and the reason for the delay in dealing with this matter.

Mr. M.P. Murphy: I presume the Deputy has in mind the provision of public cold storage facilities. The provision of such facilities at Castletownbere or elsewhere in the State is a matter for private enterprise in the first instance. Assistance is afforded by An Bord Iascaigh Mhara and the Industrial Development Authority in the establishment of such plants and grants are available for suitable projects.
