Dáil Éireann - Volume 280 - 30 April, 1975 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Teacher's Earnings and Taxes. Mr. G. Collins Mr. G. Collins 8. Mr. G. Collins asked the Minister for Education if he has received an application from a person (name supplied) in County Limerick for a statement of his gross earnings and taxes paid over the last six years; and the reasons for the refusal to supply this statement. Mr. R. Burke Mr. R. Burke Mr. R. Burke: Details of gross earnings and tax deductions are shown on the monthly salary cheques issued to teachers and should, in this way, be known to the teacher in question. The preparation of a separate statement covering a period of six years would not normally be warranted in view of the considerable amount of official time involved in going back on payment records. However, as an exceptional matter and having regard to the special circumstances related to this individual case, I have given a direction that the statement be prepared and forwarded to the teacher as soon as possible. Mr. G. Collins Mr. G. Collins Mr. G. Collins: Thank you, Minister. Mr. Kenneally Mr. Kenneally Mr. Kenneally: May I take it, then, that if I put down a question here I will be afforded the same facilities as the person involved? An Ceann Comhairle Seán Treacy An Ceann Comhairle: That is a separate question. Mr. G. Collins Mr. G. Collins Mr. G. Collins: The Deputy cannot. He can ask me. Dáil Éireann 280 Ceisteanna—Questions.
