[1010] 30. Dr. Gibbons asked the Minister for Education if he will now indicate to the vocational committee concerned that he has no objection to the reemployment of a dismissed teacher (name supplied).

Mr. R. Burke: The teacher in question was convicted by the Special Criminal Court of scheduled offences under the Offences Against the State Act, 1939. Such conviction involved forfeiture, pursuant to section 34 of the Act, of his position and the Government have decided not to remit that forfeiture.
