2. Mr. Leonard asked the Taoiseach the value of imports of the following products for the last accounting period in respect of which figures are available: (a) fresh vegetables, (b) fresh fruit, (c) canned or processed vegetables and (d) canned or processed fruit.

Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach (Mr. Kelly): During the [598] year 1974 imports of fresh vegetables were valued at £3 million; fresh fruit at £11.9 million; canned and processed vegetables, including dried, at £5.2 million and canned and processed fruit, including dried, at £11.8 million.
