Mr. Tully Mr. Tully
Mr. Tully: The best contribution can be made by assistance from Community funds for the establishment of new industries in the areas affected. The area basically affected here in Ireland is Ballingarry.
The Industrial Credit Company in association with the Industrial Development Authority, have applied through the Department of Industry and Commerce, for a global loan of two million units of account, under Article 56 of the Treaty, to be used in financing industrial projects recommended by the Industrial Development Authority which will provide alternative employment opportunities for redundant coal miners in the region of Ballingarry. The prospects are for the establishment of four small industries in the area.
