200. Mr. Meaney asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will take steps to sanction the sale of a farm in County Cork (details supplied).

Minister for Lands (Mr. T.J. Fitzpatrick, Cavan): The inquiries considered necessary by the Land Commission in this matter are now almost completed and it is hoped that a decision will be reached shortly. The determination of applications of this kind is reserved by law to the lay commissioners and the Minister for Lands has no function in the matter.
