[1688] 175. Mr. Sheridan asked the Minister for Finance the position in regard to drainage of the Killucan river which is responsible for flooding in the Killucan/Mullingar area of County Westmeath.

Mr. Kenny: I take it that the Deputy is referring to the Riverstown river. This is a major tributary of the Deel sub-catchment and in accordance with their planned programme for the Boyne catchment drainage scheme, the Commissioners of Public Works hope to reach this area in 1976.
