23. Mr. J. O'Leary asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is prepared to commence a new “Buy Irish” campaign; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Mr. Keating: The Deputy is of course aware that the National Development Association are engaged in promoting the sale of Irish goods, with the assistance of an annual grant-in-aid provided from State funds for this purpose.

[1396] I am looking into the question of what further steps might be effective in encouraging people to buy Irish goods at this critical time.
