Mr. Cronin asked the Minister for Education the current position regarding proposals for the establishment of a field biology centre at the Doneraile estate, County Cork. Mr. R. Burke Mr. R. Burke: The examination of proposals for the establishment of a field biology centre at Doneraile is still in progress in the context of the general proposals for field study centres and the future development of the Doneraile estate. Mr. Colley Mr. Colley Mr. Colley: May I ask whether the proposal for a field biology centre, if implemented, would prevent the implementation of another proposal of which I am sure the Minister is aware which would involve the use of the house or mansion on the estate in connection with the activities of a certain Irish-American foundation? Mr. R. Burke Mr. R. Burke Mr. R. Burke: I am aware of the point raised by the Deputy but would prefer not to make any comment while the matter is still being negotiated by the interests concerned.
