Mr. Molloy asked the Minister for the Public Service if there are any plans for the decentralisation of Government Departments other than the Departments of Education and Lands; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Ryan): As I stated last week in reply to a question by the Deputy, the Government favour the decentralisation of Departments. The decentralisation of Government Departments other than sections of the Departments of Education and Lands is being considered and will be implemented when feasible. Mr. Molloy Mr. Molloy Mr. Molloy: Could the Minister give any indication which Departments, other than the two mentioned in the question, are under consideration for decentralisation? Mr. R. Ryan Mr. R. Ryan Mr. R. Ryan: No. The question of the decentralisation of further services is being reviewed right across the board. No decision has yet been taken. Mr. MacSharry Mr. MacSharry Mr. MacSharry: Can the Minister state the extent of the transfer of both the Departments mentioned? Mr. R. Ryan Mr. R. Ryan Mr. R. Ryan: This is a matter that is now under consideration, both the question of the extent and the nature of the transfer.
