Mr. Dowling asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the appointments made in his Department since 15th March, 1973, other than through the Civil Service Commission; and if he will state in respect of each appointment (1) the name of the person (2) the grade (3) the title of the post (4) the qualifications required (5) the salary and allowances or other payments attaching to the post and (6) the terms of employment. Dr. Cruise-O'Brien Dr. Cruise-O'Brien 1207 Dr. Cruise-O'Brien: Because of the large number of employees, including temporary, casual and part-time staff, in a variety of grades, who are recruited for my Department [1207] other than through the Civil Service Commission and the fact that the staff is spread over about 2,000 centres, the assembling of the information asked for would be unduly costly in both time and staff.
