Parliamentary Secretary to the Taoiseach (Mr. Kelly): It is estimated on the basis of the consumer price index that £1 at mid-May, 1973, would purchase the same quantum of goods and services at retail prices as 89.5 pence would have purchased at mid-May, 1972.
