Dáil Éireann - Volume 266 - 20 June, 1973 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Illegal Bill-posting. Mr. Timmins Mr. Timmins 27. Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Local Government if he is satisfied that Dublin Corporation are taking sufficient steps to enforce the anti-litter bye-laws with particular reference to illegal bill-posting. Mr. Begley Mr. Begley Mr. Begley: I would not like to pick out any particular authority for special condemnation in this regard. However, I am concerned with the appearance of our towns and cities and I am asking local authorities generally to examine conditions in their areas and use the powers they have to deal with litter, illegal bill-posting and so on. I am also asking them to arrange for the clearing up of election posters. I would hope that local authorities would take a greater interest in the appearance of their areas, and I am sure that the commissioners I appointed for Dublin city will not be remiss in this regard.
