[523] 164. Mr. Cunningham asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if a grant has been allocated for the improvement of the pier at Meevagh, County Donegal, and, if so, when.

Mr. M.P. Murphy: A grant has not been allocated but a proposal to provide landing facilities at Meevagh, Fanny's Bay, County Donegal, is under consideration.

165. Mr. Cunningham asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he has any plans for the improvement of Magheraroarty pier, County Donegal.

Mr. M.P. Murphy: Proposals for the improvement of Magheraroarty pier are being considered in my Department [524] at present in conjunction with Roinn na Gaeltachta and the Office of Public Works. However, at this stage I cannot say what works, if any, may be recommended in the fisheries interest.

Mr. Haughey: What about the subsidy for the island butter?

Mr. M.P. Murphy: That is coming.
