108. Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Finance the estimated amount of State expenditure in relation to agriculture in the financial year 1973-74 compiled on the same basis as in Table V of the Current Budget Tables 1972 and the amount by which it will be reduced by entry into the EEC.

Mr. R. Ryan: The estimated amount of State expenditure in relation to agriculture for 1973-74 is £87 million. The reduction in expenditure in price supports as a result of entry into the EEC is estimated at £27 million.
