37. Mr. L'Estrange asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the Roger Casement memorial; and the expenditure to date.

Mr. Lemass Mr. Lemass

Mr. Lemass: The Roger Casement memorial statue has been cast and the next step is the construction of the pedestal and the inscription of the name on it. The design of the pedestal is at present under consideration. It is planned to erect and unveil the statue later this year. The expenditure to date is £2,494.
