Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries in respect of the year 1970-71 (a) the quantity of Irish butter, cheese and skim milk sold in each country including the home market; (b) the payment received in respect of total dairy product sales to each country; and (c) the subsidy paid in respect of total dairy exports to each country. Gibbons): Details of (a) and (b) are not readily available in the precise form requested by the Deputy. The following table, however, gives particulars in respect of export sales of butter, cheese and skim milk powder by An Bord Bainne, which accounts for the vast bulk of such exports from this country. Total estimated sales of the products concerned on the home market in the calendar year 1970 are also shown. As regards (c) the disclosure of information as to the amount of subsidy paid in respect of exports to individual markets would not be desirable from a commercial point of view.
