36. Mr. Desmond asked the Minister for Finance when the interim report from the Commission on the Status of Women will be published by the Government.

Mr. Colley: As I stated in answer to a question by the Deputy on 11th March last, the commission have informed me that they are giving priority [32] to the question of equal pay and that they hope to have an interim report on this subject completed by the middle of this year. This report will be published as soon as it has been received and considered by the Government.
