228. Mr. L. Belton asked the Minister for Local Government if it is proposed to make any changes in the existing areas in Dublin city for the purposes of local elections; and, if so, when such changes will be made.

Mr. Molloy: The existing local electoral areas in Dublin city were set up in 1967 and alteration of these areas is not under consideration at present.

Dr. O'Connell: Will alterations take place before the next local elections in Dublin city?

[1351] Mr. Molloy: I could not answer that question directly.

Dr. O'Connell: Will the Minister be in a position to give that information by next February?

Mr. Molloy: I will be able to give it at a later date.
