Dáil Éireann - Volume 250 - 16 December, 1970 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Official Christmas Cards. Mr. Hogan Mr. Hogan 184. Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Justice the number of Christmas cards provided in 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970; and the total cost for each year. Mr. O'Malley Mr. O'Malley Mr. O'Malley: With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the number of Christmas cards issued and the estimated cost— including the estimated cost of envelopes—for each of the years 1966 to 1970. Following is the statement:—
Mr. Hogan Mr. Hogan 185. Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Justice if in estimating the cost of Christmas cards and greetings he includes (a) envelopes and (b) estimated Civil Service time. Mr. O'Malley Mr. O'Malley Mr. O'Malley: The cost of envelopes is included. The cost of Civil Service time is not included because the work involved is so integrated with other work that it would be impossible to estimate its cost which, in any event, is quite insignificant.
