Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if his permission was sought or given to increase the price of house coal by £2 per ton in certain areas of the country; and, if not, if he will investigate this latest increase. Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. Lalor) Patrick J. Lalor Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. Lalor): With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing particulars of price increases for house coal (since 1st August, 1970) to which I have raised no objection. I should like to make it clear that these price increases are attributable almost entirely to increases in the landed cost of coal. Following is the statement: 1929 1930 [1929] [1930] STATEMENT showing increases in house coal prices to which the Minister for Industry and Commerce has raised no objection since 1st August, 1970.
