Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Revenue Commissioners' Correspondence.

22. Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Finance why the Collector General, Office of the Revenue Commissioners, fails to quote correspondents' references when replying to them; and if he will quote such references in future.

Mr. Haughey: There is a standing instruction to the staff in the Collector-General's office that correspondents' references should always be quoted in replies. Every precaution is taken to ensure that this instruction is carried out. If the Deputy will furnish me with particulars of any cases where this has not been done, I will have them investigated.
