Dáil Éireann - Volume 239 - 25 March, 1969 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Working of Kilcar (Donegal) Factory. Mr. P. O'Donnell Mr. P. O'Donnell 858 [858] 46. Mr. P. O'Donnell asked the Minister for the Gaeltacht if he is aware that a number of employees at the Gaeltarra Éireann factory in Kilcar, County Donegal, were recently requested to take two weeks compulsory holidays owing to shortage of work; that within two days this request was cancelled and all employees reengaged; and that this action had a disconcerting effect on employees; and if he will hold an inquiry into the working of the Kilcar factory. Mr. Lalor Mr. Lalor Mr. Lalor: Tuigim ó Ghaeltarra Éireann nach mar sin atá an scéal. Is amhlaidh a bheidh seachtain bhreise saoire le pá ag na hoibrithe i mbliana don chéad uair agus, ó thaobh an bhréidín de, is san earrach, nuair a bhítear ag feitheamh le horduithe don chéad séasúr eile, a bhíonn an tréimhse is fóirsteanaí le haghaidh saoire. Chuathas i gcomhairle le cuid de na hoibrithe ar na mallaibh faoin tseachtain bhreise agus seachtain eile saoire a ghlacadh i dteannta a chéile. Faoi mar a tharla, áfach, ní dheachthas ar aghaidh leis sin, agus ní cóir go mbeadh aon mhíthuiscint ina thaobh. Dáil Éireann 239 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers.
