5. Mr. Kyne asked the Minister for Transport and Power whether any impediment is placed in the way of workers organising into unions or staff associations in any of the semi-State companies for which he is responsible.

Mr. Childers: I am informed by the State companies under the aegis of my Department that they place no impediment in the way of workers organising into unions or associations. This right is, of course, guaranteed by the Constitution.
