Dáil Éireann - Volume 238 - 26 February, 1969
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Driving Licences.
Mr. Briscoe Mr. Briscoe
20. Mr. Briscoe asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has had any further discussions with the British authorities in regard to full recognition of Irish driving licences; and if he will indicate the present position.
Mr. Boland Mr. Boland
Mr. Boland: There have been no formal discussions. The present position is that there are no reciprocal arrangements between nations for the recognition of domestic driving licences except in the case of temporary visitors. I do not foresee any change occurring in this situation for some time to come.
