Mr. James Tully asked the Minister for Lands if he will give particulars of estates in the possession of the Land Commission in County Meath giving the date of acquisition, the acreage, the name of each estate, the townland and the probable date of division. Mr. Faulkner Mr. Faulkner Mr. Faulkner: The particulars requested are contained in a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report. Following is the statement: COUNTY MEATH. PARTICULARS of Estates—(apart from turbary, insignificant residues of partly allotted properties and lands transferred in exchange)—in the possession of the Land Commission for division.
† Inadvertently understated in a previous reply. NOTES: 1. Estates marked with an asterisk have already-been partly allotted. 2. It is not possible at present to indicate when the individual estates mentioned will be allotted but there will be no avoidable delay. The necessary local enquiries preliminary to allotment are being pushed forward as rapidly as circumstances permit. Mr. James Tully Mr. James Tully 108. Mr. James Tully asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission are considering acquiring the Moore estate, Frayne, Athboy, County Meath, for which a preliminary notice of sale has appeared in the local papers. Mr. James Tully asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have acquired the Higgins estate, Frayne, Athboy, County Meath; and, if so, when it is proposed to divide it. Mr. Faulkner Mr. Faulkner 1967 [1967] Mr. Faulkner: With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 108 and 109 together. There are no proceedings for the acquisition of either of these two properties. In the case of the Moore estate—242 acres—arrangements are being made to have an inspection carried out and the requisite notice under the Land Act, 1965, has been served on the owner.
