Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Holding.

59. Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Lands if a holding at Clongeel, Newmarket, County Cork, the property of a person (name supplied) was inspected by the Land Commission for acquisition; if it will be acquired; and, if not, why.

Minister for Lands (Mr. Faulkner): A detailed inspection of the holding in question was not carried out but certain inquiries were made as a result of which the Land Commission decided not to move for acquisition. I understand that there is no serious congestion in the locality and that the holding has recently been sold to a local farmer's son.
