Dr. O'Connell asked the Minister for Finance if the Government will consider the need for a discriminatory tax on luxury goods so as to relieve the present taxation burden on the poorer sections of the community. Mr. Haughey Mr. Haughey Mr. Haughey: I hope to issue shortly a White Paper on turnover taxation with particular reference to tax on added value.
