Dáil Éireann - Volume 233 - 28 March, 1968 Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Kiosks. Mr. Pattison Mr. Pattison 2. Mr. Pattison asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the position regarding the provision of public telephone kiosks at (a) Clogh and (b) Moneenroe, County Kilkenny. Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Childers) Erskine Hamilton Childers Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Childers): Telephone kiosks are not warranted at Clogh or Moneenroe. Mr. Foley Mr. Foley 3. Mr. Foley asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider providing a public telephone kiosk at Glasmore Park, Swords, County Dublin. Mr. Childers Mr. Childers Mr. Childers: A kiosk is not warranted at Glasmore Park at present but the position will be kept under review in the light of housing developments in the area. Mr. Foley Mr. Foley Mr. Foley: May I inform the Minister that 154 council houses have been erected in the area in the past year which are now occupied and local residents have complained continually that they have been bothered by persons from these houses seeking to make telephone calls? Would the Minister, therefore, try to expedite the provision of a telephone kiosk at Glasmore Park? Mr. Childers Mr. Childers Mr. Childers: The matter is under review. The telephone kiosk and call office in Swords is threequarters of a mile from Glasmore Park. These facilities are not at present being used to the extent which would justify the provision of a kiosk in Glasmore Park but, as I have said, the matter is under review.
