Mr. Corry asked the Minister for Justice if he is now in a position to state when legislation will be introduced to provide for the payment of jurors. Minister for Justice (Mr. B. Lenihan) Brian (Snr.) Lenihan Minister for Justice (Mr. B. Lenihan): I am considering all aspects of the jury system in the light of the three Interim Reports on the subject which have been submitted to me by the Committee on Court Practice and Procedure. The remuneration of jurors is one of the matters being examined. I propose to introduce comprehensive amending legislation as soon as I can. Mr. Corry Mr. Corry Mr. Corry: Is the Minister aware that over 200 of these unfortunate men were called away from their farms last week and had to spend the whole week in Cork waiting for 12 of them to be called?
