44. Mr. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice the number of dwelling-houses which it is proposed to erect in Charleville, County Cork for members of the Garda Síochána; and when the work is expected to commence.

Mr. B. Lenihan: It is proposed to erect one house for Garda use at this centre. I understand from the National Building Agency that a contract has been placed for the erection of this house and that construction works are due to start next month.
