Mr. James Tully asked the Minister for Local Government the financial allocations for 1966-67 for (1) local authority housing, (2) house purchase loans, and (3) sanitary services, including any supplementary allocations notified to local authorities, together with the proposed allocation for 1967-68 in the form of a reply of 8th February, 1967. Minister for Local Government (Mr. Boland) Kevin Boland Minister for Local Government (Mr. Boland): Following is the information: 1575 1576 [1575] [1576] CAPITAL allocations as at 15th February, 1967, to local authorities for 1966/67 in respect of (a) local authority housing, (b) house-purchase loans and supplementary housing grants and (c) sanitary services.
NOTES (1) The allocation shown above for a particular service is not necessarily equivalent to expenditure on that service. (2) Housing authorities are permitted to adjust their capital allocations as between house-purchase loans and supplementary housing grants, subject to the combined total allocation for these purposes not being exceeded. While account is taken in the above figures of major re-allocations as between these two services there may be other minor adjustments not accounted for. The figures in column (b) contain small amounts for loans for the reconstruction of private houses.
