Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Closing of Social Welfare Office.

61. Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Social Welfare the economy effected by the closure of a social welfare office in September last.

Mr. Boland: The transfer of a social welfare officer from Boyle to Castlerea in September last has resulted in a saving on rent and rates on premises at Boyle. The officer is now accommodated rent free in State-owned premises in Castlerea.

Mr. Ryan: Would the Minister say how much the saving is in rent and rates?

Mr. Boland: £120 per annum.
