Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Portlaoise Public Toilet.
Mr. O.J. Flanagan Mr. O.J. Flanagan
18. Mr. O.J. Flanagan asked the Minister for Local Government if there is any delay in so far as his Department is concerned in regard to the erection of a public toilet in Portlaoise in view of the fact that both Laois County Council and Portlaoise Town Commissioners have been pressing for this public service for a number of years; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Mr. Blaney Mr. Blaney
Mr. Blaney: Examination of the original plan for this structure, submitted in April last year, involved consultations with the county engineer on the traffic considerations involved and a reference back to the consultant for revisions based on these considerations. There was no undue delay in dealing with the revised outline plan which was received in my Department last November and approved on the 18th February.
