32. Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Defence whether consideration has been given to using any Government buildings as public refuges against the hazards of nuclear fall-out and radiation; and, if so, with what result.

Minister for Defence (Mr. Hilliard): The possible utilisation of Government buildings as public shelters against the hazards of radiation from fallout will be considered in conjunction with the results of the pilot survey to which I referred in my reply of the 16th instant to the Deputy's question on this matter.
