19. Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Health if he will state the cost to date of the Dublin Health Authority shelter [45] at Griffith Barracks, Dublin, and the proportion thereof borne by (a) the Authority and (b) his Department.

Minister for Health (Mr. O'Malley): I am informed by the Dublin Health Authority that the estimated total expenditure incurred in respect of the women and children maintained by that authority at Griffith Barracks, Dublin, amounted to £16,590 for the period October, 1963 to 31st March, 1965. £1,030 of this expenditure has been recovered from the occupants. The balance of the expenditure has been borne by the health authority.
