53. Mr. O.J. Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice when it is proposed to erect a new Garda station at Shannonbridge, County Offaly; and how long this proposal is under consideration.

Mr. Haughey: The Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Finance has informed me that it is hoped to invite tenders shortly for the erection of a new station at this centre and to have a contract placed by October next. The proposal to erect a new station at Shannonbridge was approved two years ago.
