16. Mr. T. O'Donnell asked the Minister for Transport and Power the total number of workers, distinguishing between male and female, employed at the industrial estate at Shannon Airport on 1st May, 1963, and 1st May, 1964.

Mr. Childers: I am informed by the Shannon Free Airport Development Company Ltd. that the total number of people employed in the Industrial Estate on 1st May, 1964, was 2,207—1,228 males and 979 females. The corresponding figure for 1st May, 1963 was 1,572—842 males and 730 females.
