7. Mr. T. Lynch asked the Minister for Agriculture if it is a fact that a scheme to nationalise the pig and bacon industry is to be introduced by his Department early in the coming year.

Mr. T. Lynch: I should like to point out, first, that the question here is not the question I put in. The word here is “nationalise”. The word I wrote was “rationalise”.

Dr. Ryan: It may not be the same reply in that case.

Mr. T. Lynch: I should like to ask the Minister is it the intention of the Commission to rationalise the pig industry?

Dr. Ryan: I am sure the answer is “Yes”, but will the Deputy put the question down again?
