7. Mr. Calleary asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if any mineral prospecting licences have been granted for any areas in County Mayo; and, if so, if he will give their location.

Minister for Education (Dr. Hillery) (for the Minister for Industry and Commerce): Two prospecting licences have been granted in respect of locations in County Mayo. One is in respect of an area of 10 square miles at Sheean, and the other relates to an area of 13 square miles at Ower.
