Mr. Colley asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state in relation to the arrangement which he made some time ago with foreign-based insurance companies carrying on business in the State, whereby such companies were to invest a fixed proportion of their Irish premium incomes in Ireland, to what extent such arrangement has been complied with.

Minister for Industry and Commerce (Mr. J. Lynch): I am satisfied that these companies are complying with the arrangement made regarding their investments in this country.
