14. Mr. Mullen asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will give details of the reported new ferry service from Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin, including the proposed schedules, cargoes, and operators of this service.

Mr. Childers: I assume the Deputy is referring to the proposed container service between Dún Laoghaire and Preston. I am aware that the operators of the Greenore-Preston container [667] service propose to operate a service between Dún Laoghaire and Preston. This is a private enterprise and I have no detailed information about the proposed schedule or cargoes.
