10. Mr. Calleary asked the Minister for Health the number of persons in County Mayo who were in possession of medical cards on 31st December last, the total number of people covered by those cards, and their percentage of the population of the county.

Mr. MacEntee: The number of medical cards current in County Mayo on the 31st December, 1961, was 13,114 which covered 50,009 persons, including dependants. This represents 40.1 per cent. of the population of the county.
