27. Mr. Barrett asked the Minister for Transport and Power if the airstrips at Cork Airport will be so constructed as to be capable of receiving jet aircraft.

Mr. Childers: The runway system at Cork Airport will be capable of use by medium weight jet aircraft and by bigger types of jet aircraft subject to restriction of gross weight and operational range. This will meet all foreseeable requirements by jet aircraft at Cork.
