Mr. Blowick asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will state the number of male workers (excluding clerical workers) in receipt of wages of between £4 10s. and £7 per week employed by his Department, and the total wages so paid in 1959; and if he will indicate the categories of workers so employed. Mr. MacEntee Mr. MacEntee 893 Mr. MacEntee: The number of male workers (excluding clerical workers) in receipt of wages between £4 10s. and £7 per week employed now in the Department of Social Welfare is 5, all of whom are part-time Cleaners. [893] There were 5 Messengers, 4 full-time Cleaners and 5 part-time Cleaners in receipt of wages between those limits in 1959 and the total wages paid in that year to these employees amounted to £4,608 10s. 7d.
