29. Mr. M.J. O'Higgins asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the number of road accidents reported to or investigated by the Garda Síochána in (a) Dublin City and (b) other areas within the past twelve months.

Minister for Justice (Mr. Traynor): During the year ended 30th September, 1959, the number of road accidents reported in the Dublin Metropolitan Area was 863. The number reported in other areas was 6,042.
